Saving what we love:
Use a dime size amount of inexpensive baby shampoo in cool water to wash your fine woolens. Do not buy expensive Wool Lite as it disrupts the curly nature of wool fibers. Swish a few times in shampoo. Rinse two times in cool water. DO not wring. Gently squeeze out excess water. Roll garment in a clean towel and squeeze again.
Unroll and flat block garment to reshape until it dries.
Wool yardage can be draped over two or more rungs on a drying rack. Avoid hanging fabric as it stretches out the wool.

Remember to hand wash and hang/line dry your delicates;

washers and dryers are real fabric killers over time.
