Here is an example of a transformed dress. Kim got this rich lace dress handed down from her grandmother who had it made in Cuba in the 1970’s. It is a classic sheath dress that is really an ‘on trend’ color and a style that will always be current; plus it is perfect for her body shape. But it didn’t fit her.
So fortunately the dress had generous, finished seam allowances ( the signature of a tailor’s understanding that bodies change over time ) and I was able to let out the seams and replace the zipper; a well made garment to be sure. So the final dress fit her beautifully. She was ready for her special occasion!
